NAMC is competing in the USAT National Challenge Competition
The National Challenge Competition is back and it's time for NAMC to show what we're all about! Last year we got a little of a late start but this year we hope to stay out in front! The competition starts on December 1st so make sure to get me the required information below so you can record your mileage. Good luck training and let's make NAMC 1st!!
The National Challenge Competition (NCC) is designed to get triathletes excited about off-season training at the club level. Tri Clubs across the country go head-to-head to see who can log the most training miles during the competition.
The NCC will feature three sessions, each one month in duration, from December to February. Clubs will record their training miles and submit them on the NCC website for automatic calculation and ranking.
Swim, Bike, Run, and Record!
All sessions will include swim, bike, and run, but one sport will be highlighted for each session. The winning club for each session is determined by the greatest number of miles logged during that session for that month's discipline. Recognition will also be given to the first club to reach the benchmark mileage for each session and Overall Combined Mileage for a club at the end of the three months. We are in Division IV, competing with other clubs that are similar in size.
SAVE THE DATE - OCTOBER 9TH - NAMC OCTOBER MEETING
Join us on Tuesday, October 9th at 6:30pm for our October Meeting at Roswell Area Park. We are excited to have Chris Zimmer, triathlon coach and prior club president, come discuss what you should do and don't do after your triathlon season is over. For triathletes, planning the offseason can be as important as planing your triathlon season in terms of seeing results on raceday. Find out what Chris prescribes for your offseason!
In addition to Chris' discussion, we will also have club announcements about the remainder of 2012 and looking forward to 2013, Athlete of the Month, social events and more. Before the meeting we will also have an easy 5k run inside the park. It'll be two loops on the 1.5 mile trail so join us for both loops or just one.
Club gear has arrived! If you placed an order, make plans to attend the meeting and pick up your club gear.
The meeting will be at the pavillion next to the first parking lot on your left. We will try to have the NAMC tent so you can't miss us. We hope you can make it and look forward to seeing you next week!

We want to know what you want out of your triathlon club. Now you can tell us! NAMC has created a survey to help it determine exactly what athletes want in a local triathlon club. We want as many people as possible to take this survey, especially if you are a current member, used to be a member or you just thought our site was cool and wanted to find out more about us. We value your feedback and would appreciate it if you would take 3-5 minutes to complete the survey. The responses are anonymous and will only be used to help us create an even better experience for our members.
So please take the survey by clicking here.
